More info about this month's artists:
--- Heiko Bloemers ---
Playing acoustic guitar for eleven years now Heiko Bloemers has developed a unique playing style that incorporates extended techniques such as percussions, tapping, harmonics and others into the typical acoustic guitar playing. His music draws inspiration from various genres and people such as John Frusciante, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Pino Forastiere and Michael Hedges to name a few.
Heiko Bloemers was born in 1987 and grew up in Rheinberg, Germany. At the age of 8 he started taking piano lessons. After seven years he felt "technically limited" so he began playing electric guitar and formed his first band. About one year later he was suddenly drawn to the acoustic guitar after he had seen youtube videos of Tommy Emmanuel, Andy McKee, Jon Gomm and others. He started teaching himself more than 100 songs until he eventually began writing his own compositions. At this point in time he knew he'd like to become a full-time musician and started diving deeper into the adventurous world of music, discovering all kinds of techniques and artists along the way. Heiko has shared the stage with artists like Don Ross, Stefano Barone, Amrit Sond and others. He's a regular attendant of Thomas Leeb's Guitar Bootcamp in Austria and performed in cities like Berlin, Paris and London. His debut album SUI GENERIS I is currently being recorded and scheduled to be released in 2016/Q1.
--- Pan Chimzee ---
Starting his musical journey next to the mountains down in Bavaria, the laptapping and fingerstyle guitarist Pan Chimzee has been his own teacher in the world of music for the last decade. Never having had lessons or any musical background, the journey of playing and composing has been a very adventurous and rewarding one and has enabled the Berlin based artist to forge a very unique sound and style of composing.
By merging several layers of melodies, an expressive groove and driving percussion simultaneously, his compositions create a soundscape that is auditory and visually captivating.
The joyful art of creation is the core of his music, that there is no rules and no boundaries. Touring and playing concerts on Europe's streets and stages, has made his live performances become more and more improvised and playful, so to create a new soundscape to explore and dive into every time. His compositions follow a basic idea and direction but are totally free in their delivery and structure, leading to a more organic experience of live performing for both: The artist and the audience.

Steph Cameron15 Jan
Entrance Fee: 6€
Steph Cameron's sophomore album, DAYBREAK OVER JACKSON STREET, released April 14th, 2017
The Saskatoon-based roots singer / songwriter Steph Cameron arrived on the scene like a bracing gust of fresh musical air with her 2014 debut record Sad-Eyed Lonesome Lady, receiving unanimously enthusiastic reviews. “This is a monumental, brilliant album… heralds the crowning of a bright new talent,” declared PopMatters in calling it the #1 Canadian album of 2014. No Depression termed it “a stunning debut,” while Exclaim! noted that “Sad-Eyed Lonesome Lady delights from start to finish. Steph Cameron is the real deal.” The record also made the coveted longlist for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize in 2015.
Now, Cameron is set to follow up with her sophomore record, Daybreak Over Jackson Street, due out April 14 via Pheromone Recordings. Look for music scribes to again reach for superlatives to describe Daybreak Over Jackson Street as Steph’s new album navigates subtle changes in stylistic terrain. If the debut felt as if it emerged fully-formed from the bohemian streets of Greenwich Village circa 1963, then the extra maturity of this album gives it more of an early ‘70s Laurel or Topanga Canyon atmosphere.
